Over the 20 years of our expertise we have worked with some of the biggest names in the industry and also the up and coming, always pursuing the highest result and aim for perfection

Owner, Music Producer & Entrepreneur — 2003 to Present

Toby Music Productions is a boutique studio that works with individuals and film directors who are aiming to translate their own talent and message into music. We work closely to understand the individual’s mood, emotions, passions and drive to be able to capture this into a finished product for their chosen audience. We use the latest techniques mixed with our own experience from the fields of classical, electronic, rock, RnB, dance and other fringe genres as an eclectic toolbox to create unique productions. Our approach requires close and continuous contact with our clients, building strong relationships that often develop into friendships.

Our continuous exchange ensures that the clients’ expectations are met. We are brave to push for the quality and impact we see in their potential, guiding us to see these as enhancements rather than interference. Yet we are clear about our remit to ensure the soul of the work remains theirs. We are merely enhancing the output.

Key to our success in attracting a wide range of clients is our ability to assess demos and submissions sent in advance and develop the album briefs with the client. We assist with titling tracks, track descriptions, liaising with the album artwork producer or graphic designer. All our work is done using technology, including document management and communications. We do use physical instruments and incorporate these into the productions.

More recently, I am involved in the production of the Music Videos of our artists, as well as on-set with feature movies and advert filming. This gives me a greater ‘feel’ of the expression desired by the artists and allows me to even further enhance the final production. It has also given me deeper insight into what makes a full and final production ‘work’.

As a producer of my own music, with 3 albums and over 70 personal tracks and over 1000 for other artists and hitting top chart positions over a span of 20 years, I have developed the discipline and hard-working mindset that is required for success. I have also learnt how to market and sell the albums and get airplay and TV viewership through persistence and networking. My collaborations with international artists and production houses, including EMI & Sony BMG, has been extremely fulfilling and rewarding.
I am self-taught in piano, drums, bass and guitar, and can read music.
